Kejah is a PhD student at the University of Toronto, developing haptic feedback systems to help surgeons regain a sense of touch during robotic neurosurgery.
Her research focuses on improving force perception and control in delicate brain procedures. Coming from a background where stability and access weren’t guaranteed, she brings a grounded, disciplined approach to high-stakes environments. Her work bridges neuroscience and engineering to improve surgical training, decision-making, and performance when precision is critical. ​​As Outreach Coordinator for Black Physicians of Tomorrow, she’s committed to creating pathways for Black students in medicine and research, amalgamating technical innovation with mentorship and representation.
