WHAT IS AN ACADEMIC MENTOR?
An Academic Mentor is more than just a tutor. You will serve as a mentor, coach, and guide, helping students navigate academic challenges while also providing valuable insights into personal growth, post-secondary applications, scholarships, and career planning.
We’re looking for individuals who are relatable, inspiring, and committed to supporting students beyond just academics—helping them develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide academic support in core subject areas (Math, Science, English, etc.).

Offer mentorship and guidance to help students manage their studies, extracurriculars, and
future planning.

Share personal experiences and advice on
post-secondary education, scholarships, and
career opportunities.

Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Commit to 2-hour weekly virtual or in-person sessions with assigned students on Saturdays
from 10am - 12pm - excluding stat holidays.
