Kimberly Benn
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Kimberly Benn is a health equity advocate, community builder, and emerging public sector changemaker committed to creating spaces where Black youth don’t just succeed — they lead and thrive.
She holds a Master of Health Science in Translational Research and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, bringing together academic insight and lived experience to drive meaningful change in systems that impact marginalized communities.
With over five years of experience supporting Toronto’s most vulnerable populations, Kimberly has led frontline programs and policy work in education, digital health, and anti-Black racism. As one of the visionaries behind STEAMWorks — BPT’s academic mentorship and life skills program — she has helped secure over $400K in funding to expand youth programming across the GTA.
Kimberly continues to build partnerships, design programs, and advocate for systemic change — all with the goal of helping Black youth see what’s possible, and walk boldly toward it.
